Back from commercial, the ring was setup for the Highlight Reel and Chris Jericho was introduced. Before he said anything, Edge’s music hit and he came to the ring. Jericho asked Edge if that look on his face meant there was something funny. Edge said what was funny was that the highlight they always seems to have involved Edge hitting some move on Jericho. He said he couldn’t remember the name. He got the crowd to shout spear a few times. Jericho said that was very humorous.
Jericho ran down all of Edge’s missed Wrestlemanias and time for being injured. He asked Edge if he knew what he was doing while Edge was out. Edge said losing and pointed out that Jericho lost at the Manias he mentioned. Edge said he does get hurt. He says he does it because he takes risks and that’s the only way he knows how to compete. Jericho said Edge did like to take risks, and he proved it when he challenged Jericho.
Jericho said the best thing Edge has ever done was Vickie. Edge said that was true, we all had that girlfriend we weren’t proud of. He said for Jericho it was Big Show. Edge said he was going to reclaim his world title. Jericho did his “bad things happen to you when I am with you” bit and said Edge wasn’t fully healed and rushed his comeback. He said he was going to beat him and hurt him. Edge said he was going to make Jericho a former champion after he hit him with the spear.
Jericho hit Edge with the mic. He hit Edge with the stools, and then tried to ram him into the Jeritron. Edge pushed off and hit the Impaler DDT. He setup for the spear and charged. Jericho hit him with the title, knocking Edge out. Jericho grabbed the mic and chanted “spear” over and over. He finally dropped to his knees, said it one more time in Edge’s face, and held the title up to end the show…
* The ring is setup for the Highlight Reel with Chris Jericho. His guest Edge comes out and they cut promos. Jericho said he knows Edge is still hurt and he’s going to put him out of action. Jericho hit Edge with the mic Edge went for a spear but got hit by the World Title. Jericho starts yelling “Spear!” at Edge while he’s down.
Backstage, Matt Hardy was giving Gabriel a pep talk. He said if Gabriel does what he did last week, he would win again against Wade Barrett. Barrett and Jericho walked in. Jericho cut a promo and Gabriel said he respected Jericho, but wasn’t afraid of Barrett. Barrett said he crushed Bryan last week, and he would do worse to Gabriel. Hardy mocked Jericho, and Jericho and Barrett left while wishing Gabriel luck…
3. Justin Gabriel (w/Matt Hardy) defeated Wade Barrett (w/Chris Jericho) at 3:50. Barrett worked power, and Gabriel worked speed to start. Barrett caught Gabriel and slammed him in the corner. Barrett hit several slams in a row while Jericho ran over to the announce table to hype Barrett. Barrett put Gabriel on the top and climbed up. Gabriel fought him off and hit the 450 splash for the win.
Post match, Hardy helped Gabriel up and Jericho attacked from behind. He knocked Hardy to the floor and hit the Codebreaker on Gabriel. He whipped Gabriel with his suit coat, and then put the Liontamer on him. Gabriel tapped several times before Jericho broke it. He and Barrett posed to end the show…
Backstage, Jericho and Big Show was chatting. Jericho put Show over and talked about him destroying Edge. He said he owed it to him and Show said he is not doing it for Jericho, but he is doing it for him. Jericho smiled and said get ‘em, Show.
Edge defeated Big Show. Post match, Jericho tried to knock Edge out but got speared for the 10,099th time. Edge said in case you missed it, Jericho got speared, speared, speared…
4. Chris Jericho defeated Goldust at 9:54. They traded arm drags and Goldust clotheslined Jericho over the top. Back at 5:20, Jericho hit a running insaguri kick for two. Jericho set Goldust on the top rope and tried for a superplex. Goldust fought out and jumped off the top. Jericho drop kicked him out of the air for a great near fall. Jericho locked in a rest hold that Goldust escaped almost immediately. Goldust ran his move set and tried for the bulldog. Jericho pushed off and hit his own bulldog.
Jericho tried for the Lionsault, but Goldust moved. Jericho landed on his feet and hit the ropes. Goldust hit a powerslam for another near fall. Goldust lifted Jericho for the Curtain Call, but Jericho slipped out and locked on the Walls of Jericho for the win. Jericho celebrated up the ramp with his title belt to end the show…
