Randy Orton defeated Edge and Chris Jericho in a Triple Threat match in 15:10 to earn a shot at the WWE Championship at SummerSlam. The heels went after Orton early. He was able to fight them off initially, but they worked together and got the better of him. Eventually, the heel alliance broke down and they fought at ringside as the show went to break. After the break, Edge was in control of the match. He was getting the better of Orton while Jericho sold at ringside. Jericho pulled Edge to ringside and slammed him into the announcers’ table. Jericho headed inside the ring and covered Orton while using the ropes for leverage, but Randy kicked out. Orton came back with a pair of clotheslines on Jericho. After a near fall, Orton set up to DDT Jericho off the ropes. Edge ran back in, but Orton spotted him and went on the offensive.

Later, Edge set up Jericho for the spear, but Jericho countered it into a Walls of Jericho while Orton was outside the ring. Edge grabbed the ropes to break the pin attempt and then came back with a near fall of his own. Edge cleared Jericho to ringside. Orton came in and went for the RKO, but Edge countered and scored a quality near fall. Edge set up Orton for the spear, but Jericho entered the ring and clotheslined Edge. The three wrestlers traded near falls and then they performed a three-way clothesline that left them all lying on the mat at 14:30.

Orton went for the RKO on Jericho, who blocked it. Jericho countered with the Lionsault attempt, but Randy moved. Orton hit the RKO on Jericho and then followed up with an RKO on Edge. Orton covered Edge and scored the clean pin to win the match and advance to the WWE Championship match at SummerSlam..

After the break, Edge was standing in the ring and demanded that Jericho come back to the ring. Lawler said Edge refused to leave the ring during the break. Jericho obliged and headed back to the ring as Edge noted that they’ve been doing this for 11 years. Edge questioned how many championships and career years they’ve cost each other. “This has to end right here, right now, tonight,” Edge said. Jericho grabbed a mic of his own and said they finally agree on something for the first time in 11 years. Jericho said this would end for Edge. Jericho said his conversation with Wade Barrett showed last week that he’s essentially the reason that they’ve been running wild.


Jericho said he could probably snap his fingers and Nexus would head to the ring and join him in taking care of Edge on the spot. Edge didn’t believe Jericho and said Nexus would probably be happy to take out a guy who was taking credit for their success. The seven Nexus members headed to the ring. Wade Barrett said they would be lucky to have either man with allies. Suddenly, they surrounded Edge. Barrett said they wouldn’t just take years of Edge’s career, they would end it. The Nexus crew put the boots to Edge while Jericho cheered them on.

Skip Sheffield performed his big clothesline on Edge and then Jericho applied the Walls of Jericho. He looked up and noticed that Nexus was staring him down. Barrett said Edge was also right because they want to shut up the guy who is claiming to be behind their success. Jericho backed away, but then threw a punch at Barrett.

Jericho got several shots in at Barrett before the rest of the crew roughed him up. They beat him down and then David Otunga performed his urinage. Barrett stood over Jericho and yelled at him. Nexus left the ring together as the show went to break..

They Nexus members looked anxious. Barrett calmed them down. Chris Jericho’s music played and he joined the rest of Cena’s team. There was a big pause. Cena pointed to the entrance area. Bret Hart’s music played and he came out and high-fived Cena as the place popped big.

Cena’s crew hit the ring and the Nexus crew ran out of the ring and through the crowd. Once they were a level up, they stopped and looked back at the ring where Cena and company were standing tall. Cole called it a dream team. Bret Hart’s music played as the babyfaces stood in the ring. Lawler predicted that Nexus will regroup and come back with something…

    Great match but wish Chris won .Randy gets way to many chances for the title .Im so pissed at Nexus for attacking Chris for no reason .Their all cowards and the pros will kick their asses.
